Open-cycle SD

Summary
Open-cycle SD releases micronized droplets into heated gas and instantaneously evaporates the solvent to yield a powder. Air is used as the drying gas and water is used as the feed solvent.
In general, the SD can produce powder particles with good flowability and direct tabletability.
The particle properties can be controlled as per customer requirements by adjusting the inlet/outlet temperature and by selecting the appropriate atomizer.
